Cabin batteries

It looks like the van had the wrong kind of cabin batteries

Monday, June 7, 2021

Installed new 200 watt alternator

The Main battery was not charging, so we replaced the Alternator.
A few different options, but we need the 200W version, to support the (2) cabin gel batteries.

Wonder Van!

We found a Sprinter Westfalia!

We have been looking for another van for a little while without much luck...
it needed to be unique and different...

(A little background - we love to buy old vans and enjoy them for a while)
We have owned a '75 and a' 69 VW bus ( check out my other site: VW Momentum

Then we purchased a EuroVan and it was a different experience than our previous VW vans.

Next up in the JDM '93 Delica (Wallie)
That was a fun van and we had a great time with it!!

But now we have a new to us Camper-Van!!  This is a special van that only about 250 where imported into the US.  It has a Dodge chassis with a Mercedes engine and a Westfalia RV build!

It's build #68 of the 250 imported.

The van had 2 previous owners and in great condition.

It looked like the van has been in storage for about 3 years with not much use in that time and will need a little TLC and general maintenance.

I plan to share a few interesting things on this site -  and hope it will help others in the future.

Enjoy!
